Sir Georg Solti Created in memory of the great Hungarian conductor Sir Georg Solti, the annual Georg Solti Accademia di Bel Canto in the picturesque Tuscan seaside town of Castiglione della Pescaia, has been training the next generation of opera singers for 5 years. Established by Lady Valerie Solti and Founding Patron Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, the Accademia is committed to continuing Georg Solti's legacy, his passion for music and his unstinting support of young singers. I am hugely indebted to Sir Georg. His love of music, dedication and determination was an inspiration to me as a young singer. I look forward to my increased role in supporting the Accademia over the coming years and passing on what I've learnt to others at the start of their careers. Dame Kiri Te Kanawa |
